Estée Blu is an independent Singer, Writer and Founder of BLU WAV Artist Wellbeing, from London England. Raised by her Congolese-Belgian mother in Hendon (North-West London), Estée Blu first picked up the microphone at the tender age of six, as a member of the children's Gospel Choir at her church in Kilburn. Blu grew up singing in church and found her signature sound weaving between R&B, Jazz and Afro-fusion influences. Estée Blu's value system and lyrics, champion authenticity and imagination through Rhythm and Blues. Her career kicked off in August 2015 when she was chosen by Sennheiser UK as the winner of 'Westfield Presents Artist of the Month', with a performance streamed live on KISS FM. A proud Roundhouse Resident Artist alumna (2016-17), the London Singer-Songwriter Estée Blu is amongst the new wave of indie British Soul singers, holding her own weight and bringing her own style to Contemporary RnB.

On 3 November 2017, Estée Blu presented her debut single 'All'. The Singer-songwriter teamed up with Berlin producer El Vincento and Anish Bhatt (MTA Records) to create a nostalgic sound that embraces her Jazz, Neo-soul and R&B influences. Delivered with sultry jazz vocals as she harmoniously recalls a former love affair. Her lyrics tie seamlessly with the poignant composition, with enough bass and feel good groove to leave you wanting more.

Since supporting British modern country duo, Ward Thomas in December 2016, the songstress has since gone on to support the likes of iconic Senegalese dance-band, Orchestra Baobab at their sold out London show, as part of 'In The Round', and a spot on the 'Roundhouse Rising' line up in early 2017. In the summer she also took over MAC Cosmetics' flagship London store, in Carnaby Street for a Roundhouse live Session, followed by 'An Evening with Estée Blu', an intimate listening party and gig hosted at Thingy Studios in Hackney. Her debut single was premiered on Julie Adenuga's Beats 1 Radio show and n December 2017 Estée Blu was awarded the first ever artist development fund from the MOBO awards and Help Musicians UK . 2018 kicked off with a feature on NME.com, as part of NME Emerging’s top pick of the week, comparing Blu to the likes of her contemporaries SZA and Solange. This was shortly followed by a live So Far Sounds session filmed across the iconic City Hall venue. She has since performed at NME’s Soho Music Month showcase , been playlisted on COLORS Berlin, shortlisted at AfroPunk’s battle of the bands and made the top 11 of the MOBO Unsung 2018 list.

During her 3 year hiatus, Estée Blu spent time focussing on activism, research and advocacy work concerning Black British women in Music, and championing change for more equitable representation within the music industry. She sits on executive board positions with Sound Connections, The F-List CIC and The Richard Antwi Scholarship committee. In December 2022, Estée Blu was nominated as a Music Week Rising Star for her activism by fellow Music Executive and Women In Music Roll Of Honouree Christine Osazuwa.

In late-August 2023 Estée setup BLU WAV artist wellbeing, during her 6-month Creative Fellowship with the Creative Impact Research Centre of Europe, based in Berlin Germany. BLU WAV aims to support the artistic and holistic wellbeing of musicians and music professional through research and workshops.

She is currently recording, co-producing and readying her second EP project ‘SOLO’, which displays some of most personal and experimental work to date. Drawing from a wide musical palette of Soul, Alternative R&B, Congolese Rumba/ Ndombolo, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Gospel and Jazz, and working with producers such as Hip Hop-Jazz heavy-weight Isatta Sheriff, this new body of work will display some of her most exciting, personal and experimental work to date. 2024 looks like an incredible comeback year for the London singer.
